Hey there reader,
I must apologize that I haven't been able to blog. I have been crazy busy. Good thing there is a snow day tomorrow. I can't wait to catch up on things. This blog is going to be dedicated to a girl named Liana. I never knew her personally or even talked to her but her sad and unfortunate actions hurt her friends and family forever.
Liana committed suicide last weekend. I found out at school the next Monday. She was 19 with a beautiful baby girl. She was depressed and couldn't find any hope in her life anymore.
On my Formspring I constantly get questions about suicide. My response- ALWAYS find an alternate. Find someone to talk to. Find an 'anti-drug'. Find a friend or a family member or a teacher that will be willing to listen. I promise you there is it least one person out there in this world that loves you and cares and your life ending, no matter how unimportant you feel will rock the world of those people. Please, please, PLEASE do not give up hope and do not quit fighting. You may feel like there is no hope anywhere, but it will come. Imagine yourself 30 years down the road married with children and being successful. You will never know where you could go if you don't live it out.
Everyone- Look for signs. The littlest things can be the most obvious hints. Mentioning dying, feeling depressed and self-harm are signs that someone could be contemplating suicide. Ask them if they are okay and constantly remind them that you need them, care for them and love them. If it gets bad enough, tell someone because you could be saving a life.
On that note, check out the movie To Save a Life if you get the chance and if you want to know more. It's life changing.
Please if you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hold on. I promise there is hope for you in this world. Liana had such a bright future, but no one will ever know what could be.
You are loved more than you could ever imagine.
Me
P.S.-Directly to my classmates at LHS, open your eyes. It's happening right infront of you. We've got to stop this.
Rest in peace Liana.
